Redfin
Illustration
Overview: The previous duotones had different styles and colors. I accepted the challenge to redesign the duotone system with the updated illustration style.
Creative: The result was a scalable duotone icon system now used across Redfin’s EDS, website, social media, and printed materials. Each icon was hand-drawn on an iPad using a custom stroke developed by one of our illustrators. The system was then imported into Figma, allowing the Product team to easily access and implement the duotones. To streamline usage, the icons were turned into components, and tokens were created, enabling the efficient development of both light and dark mode libraries.
self-service Marketing portal
At Redfin, agents and coordinators are responsible for creating their own marketing materials. To support this, we partnered with a third-party vendor, Desygner, to build a self-service platform. I played a key role in maintaining and growing the relationship with Desygner.
Over my first year at Redfin, my role with the platform expanded significantly. In addition to maintaining existing templates, I also became the primary designer for new ones. These templates were first created in InDesign or Figma, then exported as PDFs and imported into the Desygner platform. Once uploaded, each template was “templatized” by assigning editable fields, such as the agent’s name, phone number, license number, and email address. These fields were linked to our API so that when users clicked the “auto-create” feature, their personal information would populate automatically.
For listing-specific templates, image frames were mapped to listing photograph numbers (e.g., 1, 2, 3). Listing images were pulled directly from Redfin’s platform, allowing agents to access property photos from the cloud, eliminating the need to download or upload them manually.
With this technology came inevitable bugs and glitches. Providing technical support and troubleshooting issues became part of my responsibility. Over time, I developed a deep understanding of the platform’s behavior and was able to offer timely, effective solutions to agents and coordinators.
Redfin x Rocket - Rebranding
In the spring of 2025, Redfin was acquired by Rocket Companies, prompting a brand transition across all marketing materials. I was responsible for updating several assets to align with Rocket’s brand guidelines. This included calculating new corner radii for photo frames, implementing their typefaces and color palette, and designing within their established grid system.
Participating in the rebranding process was a valuable and rewarding experience.

Ultra Premier magazine ads
Redfin Premier is Redfin’s high-end listing service, typically featuring homes priced at $1 million and above. On occasion, we feature Ultra Premier listings, which receive additional exposure through advertisements in luxury publications such as The Wall Street Journal, Luxury Home Magazine, and Forbes Global Properties.
Social media
These are examples of social media graphics I designed to support our recruiting efforts. The recruiting team needed a set of visuals for LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook that featured clean layouts and simple value propositions to catch the attention of potential agents.
I collaborated with a copywriter on this project—part of our regular process, as nearly every project involved close coordination with the writing team. These graphics were widely seen by prospective agents, and in a typical month, up to 100 agents would join Redfin.
New hire announcements
As part of the recruiting initiative, newly hired agents also wanted a way to announce their move to Redfin—either as Redfin agents or Redfin Premier agents. We provided two postcard options for them to choose from: one featuring three personalized stats, and one without. Agents loved having the ability to showcase their achievements, and the stat-based postcards were especially popular.
